Their Lives and Most Famous Tricks by Walter Gibson. I’m certain that this book, published in 1966, is partly responsible for my interest in magic history. Gibson was able to write about many of these greats from the golden age because he was friends with many of them. Included are Robert-Houdin, Professor Anderson, Alexander Herrmann, Kellar, Chung Ling Soo, Thurston, Houdini, Hardeen, and The Great Raymond. David Price’s Egyptian Hall Museum was thanked for their generous contributions to the book and that explains why many of the posters shown can be found in Egyptian Hall Museum today. 221 hard-bound pages with a dust jacket. Condition is very good.
